A free skill you add to Claude, for PowerPoint decks

AI decks look sloppy. Data Decks fixes them.

It makes Claude build every slide on one grid, so text, tables, and charts line up.

8 of 8 faults fixed

Drag the handle left to see what it fixed.

Both are real .pptx files, built from the same made-up numbers. The faulty one was built on purpose.

Everything on a slide lines up on one grid.

12 columns and 0.6 inch margins. Move the lens to see the boxes in the .pptx file.

0of 9 left edges off the grid

The chart axis can change the story.

The numbers stay the same as you drag. The skill starts a bar chart at zero and a waterfall chart just below its lowest bar. Drag the axis.

5%

It writes the story before the slides.

You edit a plain-text storyboard. Then it builds the deck and inspects every slide.

Slide 3 of 8

One file sets your brand on every slide.

It is a short text file with your colors and fonts. Pick a brand.

Download the skill

Northlight ships with the skill. Kelpline and Plumwick were made for this page. All three are fictional.

Install it. Ask for a deck.

  1. 1

    Download the skill

It is one zip file. Don't unzip it.

  2. 2

    Upload it to Claude

    Settings, then Capabilities, then Skills.

  3. 3

    Ask for a deck

The skill loads on its own.

Whether you can upload a skill depends on your Claude plan and, on a team or enterprise account, on your workspace admin. To build .pptx files, keep code execution and file creation turned on.
